Running Your Plan Through the App
Graduation: the previous seven lessons assembled into one operating rhythm. A written plan on paper, a powerful app configured for execution rather than engagement, and the three cadences — monthly, quarterly, annual — that make Webull's depth serve discipline instead of undermining it.
The configuration that IS most of this course: bank linked, fixed recurring deposit running, recurring investments implementing your core allocation where supported, watchlists mirroring your plan (holdings + genuine candidates), screener presets saved with YOUR criteria, extended-hours off by default, cash account not margin, notifications pruned to money-movement, order-type rules written into your plan. Walk the list once, check every box, done permanently.
On a scheduled day — never when a notification summons you — confirm the plumbing ran: deposit landed, recurring buys filled, dividends handled per your settings. You're auditing execution, not judging performance; the market's opinion of your month is explicitly not on the agenda. Close the app. With the machine running, most months this is the entire relationship.
Pull current position weights beside your written targets; your Portfolio-course materiality bands decide whether anything rebalances. Most quarters nothing does — doing nothing remains the practiced skill. When a trigger fires: execute per your order-type rules (limit orders where your rules say so), journal the why. If you track your book in our planner, enter your holdings — or connect your account where that's supported — and the drift math is done for you; paper and a calculator remain fully sufficient.
The full Foundations ceremony: re-read the plan, grade the year against your benchmark honestly, raise the recurring amounts as income grew, re-underwrite legacy holdings, retire experiment-book strategies the scoreboard failed, and amend rules in writing, in calm, effective next quarter. New instruments earn consideration only through the standing gate: education first, paper trading second, tuition-sized live money third.
You now run a trader-grade platform on an investor's operating system: decisions on paper, execution by structure, analysis tools fed by written rules, activity on a calendar. That inversion — the app serving the plan — is the entire Workshop line's teaching, and it transfers to any broker you'll ever use. The cockpit was never the pilot. You are.
Setup once, audit monthly, drift-check quarterly, review annually — the trader's cockpit flying an investor's flight plan. Take the standard, not the app, with you for life.
